Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2003 a collector was able to acquire the work St Columba's Farewell to the White Horse by Alice Boyd for GBP 4,780.00 (€ 6,978.65). This price was achieved in the auction THE FORBES COLLECTION OF VICTORIAN PICTURES AND WORKS OF ART at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alice Boyd achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Thames from Cheyne Walk, probably a view from Belle Vue House in March 2021 with an auction result of GBP 237,750.00 (€ 279,295.01).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Februar 2003 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit St Columba's Farewell to the White Horse von Alice Boyd für GBP 4.780,00 (€ 6.978,65) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion THE FORBES COLLECTION OF VICTORIAN PICTURES AND WORKS OF ART bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alice Boyd erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Thames from Cheyne Walk, probably a view from Belle Vue House im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 237.750,00 (€ 279.295,01).
