The work The Travelling of The Tree by Ali Mokawas was auctioned at Christies in Dubai in April 2008. The price achieved of USD 22,500.00 (€ 14,452.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 25,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Travelling of The Tree is the most expensive artwork by Ali Mokawas that we have observed at auctions so far.
