Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2019 Christies in London held the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art, which included this untitled work by Ali Kazim. The price achieved of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,728.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ali Kazim - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Man On Animal Skin Series) , which sold at auction in March 2019 for USD 22,500.00 (€ 20,039.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2019 führte Christies in London die Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Ali Kazim zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 7.728,52) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Ali Kazim mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Man On Animal Skin Series) beobachtet, die im März 2019 für USD 22.500,00 (€ 20.039,19) versteigert wurde.
