The result of SEK 40,000.00 (€ 3,808.51) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of SEK 40,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alfred Wahlberg - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Torreby by Gullmarsfjorden, which sold at auction in December 2010 for SEK 125,000.00 (€ 13,932.85).

Die Arbeit Moonlit view from Vaxholm, Sweden von Alfred Wahlberg wurde im Juni 2019 in der Auktion Important Spring Sale bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von SEK 40.000,00 (€ 3.808,51) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von SEK 40.000,00 – 50.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Alfred Wahlberg mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Torreby by Gullmarsfjorden beobachtet, die im Dezember 2010 für SEK 125.000,00 (€ 13.932,85) versteigert wurde.
