Auction result misses estimated price range
In January last year a collector was able to acquire the work Coastal Landscape by Alfred Thompson Bricher for USD 28,000.00 (€ 24,973.24). This price was achieved in the auction 19th Century American Art at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Alfred Thompson Bricher have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Afternoon, Southampton Beach in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 250,000.00 (€ 214,224.51).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Coastal Landscape von Alfred Thompson Bricher für USD 28.000,00 (€ 24.973,24) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 19th Century American Art bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alfred Thompson Bricher auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Afternoon, Southampton Beach im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 250.000,00 (€ 214.224,51).
