Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2000 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings, which included the work Leda and the swan by Alfred Marxer. The price achieved of NLG 2,340.40 (€ 1,028.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as NLG 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Other works by Alfred Marxer have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2014 the work Sitzender Frauenakt. 1910. was auctioned for CHF 2,318.00 (€ 1,928.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2000 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Leda and the swan von Alfred Marxer zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von NLG 2.340,40 (€ 1.028,76) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit NLG 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Alfred Marxer konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Dezember 2014 die Arbeit Sitzender Frauenakt. 1910. für CHF 2.318,00 (€ 1.928,19) versteigert.
