In the British Art on Paper including Original Book Illustrations auction, the work Poultry scratching in a wood sold for GBP 1,410.00 (€ 2,180.95) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alfred Heaton Cooper - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in June 2010 for SEK 44,000.00 (€ 4,614.43).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Alfred Heaton Cooper erzielte im Juni 2002 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion British Art on Paper including Original Book Illustrations wurde die Arbeit Poultry scratching in a wood für GBP 1.410,00 (€ 2.180,95) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Alfred Heaton Cooper mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Juni 2010 für SEK 44.000,00 (€ 4.614,43) versteigert wurde.
