Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2000 Christies in London held the auction British and Victorian Pictures, which included the work Gathering Mussels by Alfred H. Green. The price achieved of GBP 2,530.00 (€ 4,207.51) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alfred H. Green - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work On The Medway, Early Morning, which sold at auction in December 2015 for GBP 10,000.00 (€ 13,579.52).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2000 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Victorian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Gathering Mussels von Alfred H. Green zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.530,00 (€ 4.207,51) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Alfred H. Green mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit On The Medway, Early Morning beobachtet, die im Dezember 2015 für GBP 10.000,00 (€ 13.579,52) versteigert wurde.
