Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2000 Christies in London held the auction British and Victorian Pictures, which included the work By the stile by Alfred H. Green. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,997.50 (€ 3,166.28). Admittedly, works by Alfred H. Green have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work On The Medway, Early Morning in December 2015 with an auction result of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 13,579.52).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2000 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Victorian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit By the stile von Alfred H. Green zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.800,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.997,50 (€ 3.166,28) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alfred H. Green auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit On The Medway, Early Morning im Dezember 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 13.579,52).
