In December 2005 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Watercolours and Oriental, which included the work A study of two male figures by Alfred George Stevens. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,080.00 (€ 1,567.56), 35% above the upper estimate. Other works by Alfred George Stevens have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 1,440.00 (€ 2,119.52) in March 2007 for the work Figure studies.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 35 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Watercolours and Oriental durch, in der auch die Arbeit A study of two male figures von Alfred George Stevens zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.080,00 (€ 1.567,56) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von Alfred George Stevens haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.440,00 (€ 2.119,52) im März 2007 für die Arbeit Figure studies beobachtet.
