Here, the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,630.62). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfred Fowler Patten achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work British The Pillow Fight in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 72,500.00 (€ 92,223.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit A bashful swain von Alfred Fowler Patten wurde im Dezember 2016 in der Auktion Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art, Maritime Art, Sporting & Wildlife Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 2.250,00 (€ 2.630,62) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alfred Fowler Patten erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit British The Pillow Fight im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 72.500,00 (€ 92.223,17).
