Auction result well in line with expectations
In May this year Bonhams held the auction Prints & Photographs | Bonhams Skinner, which included the work Central Park After a Snowstorm, New York by Alfred Eisenstaedt. The price achieved of USD 5,100.00 (€ 4,786.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Alfred Eisenstaedt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'Children At A Puppet Theatre, Paris' in October 2008 with an auction result of USD 50,000.00 (€ 39,425.96).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Prints & Photographs | Bonhams Skinner durch, in der auch die Arbeit Central Park After a Snowstorm, New York von Alfred Eisenstaedt zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.100,00 (€ 4.786,93) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alfred Eisenstaedt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 'Children At A Puppet Theatre, Paris' im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 39.425,96).
