Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Chasse Dans L'Allée Vers La Croix by Alfred Dedreux was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May 2019, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 35,000.00 (€ 31,392.95). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfred Dedreux achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Return in May 2005 with an auction result of GBP 848,000.00 (€ 1,251,914.16).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Chasse Dans L'Allée Vers La Croix von Alfred Dedreux im Mai 2019 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 35.000,00 (€ 31.392,95) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alfred Dedreux erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Return im Mai 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 848.000,00 (€ 1.251.914,16).
