Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Zeus Flanked By Two Muses Before A Temple On An Acropolis; And A Bacchanalian Festival (One Illustrated) by Alfred Charles Conrade was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2006, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 360.00 (€ 534.61). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfred Charles Conrade achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Palace of Sargon At Khorsabad, Egypt (Illustrated); And Figures Before The Entrance To An Egyptian Temple in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 5,040.00 (€ 7,484.56).
Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Palace of Sargon At Khorsabad, Egypt (Illustrated); And Figures Before The Entrance To An Egyptian Temple im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.040,00 (€ 7.484,56).
