The price achieved of GBP 687.50 (€ 821.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Admittedly, works by Alfred Charles Conrade have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Palace of Sargon At Khorsabad, Egypt (Illustrated); And Figures Before The Entrance To An Egyptian Temple in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 5,040.00 (€ 7,484.56).
