Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Rising Falcon; Dutch Oven; and Windermere by Alfred Bright was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 625.00 (€ 794.07) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alfred Bright - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The 1907 Grand National, which sold at auction in November 2006 for GBP 1,920.00 (€ 2,851.26).
