Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work A Kitchen Still Life by Alexandre Marie Guillemin was auctioned at Sothebys in Amsterdam in April 2007, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexandre Marie Guillemin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The scent of fresh flowers in April 2001 with an auction result of NLG 47,000.00 (€ 21,572.12).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit A Kitchen Still Life von Alexandre Marie Guillemin im April 2007 bei Sothebys in Amsterdam versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 1.800,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alexandre Marie Guillemin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The scent of fresh flowers im April 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 47.000,00 (€ 21.572,12).
