Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2016 Sothebys in London held the auction 19th Century European Paintings, which included the work French la Belle Orientale Et Le Cosaque by Alexandre Marie Colin. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,499.44) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexandre Marie Colin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Giaour in October 2001 with an auction result of USD 534,000.00 (€ 593,795.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2016 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 19th Century European Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit French la Belle Orientale Et Le Cosaque von Alexandre Marie Colin zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.499,44) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alexandre Marie Colin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le Giaour im Oktober 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 534.000,00 (€ 593.795,17).
