In the Important British Art auction, the work Byron As Don Juan, With Haidee sold for GBP 60,945.00 (€ 87,669.05) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by Alexandre Marie Colin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Le Giaour in October 2001 with an auction result of USD 534,000.00 (€ 593,795.17).

Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alexandre Marie Colin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Le Giaour im Oktober 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 534.000,00 (€ 593.795,17).
