The work Soleil d'hiver by Alexandre-Louis Jacob was sold in the 19th Century European Art auction at Christies in London in March 2009. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,125.00 (€ 2,291.49), 42% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexandre-Louis Jacob achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work L'hiver, les glaçons in June 2018 with an auction result of EUR 31,250.00.

Die Arbeit Soleil d'hiver von Alexandre-Louis Jacob wurde im März 2009 in der Auktion 19th Century European Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.125,00 (€ 2.291,49) und damit 42% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alexandre-Louis Jacob erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit L'hiver, les glaçons im Juni 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 31.250,00.
