In May 2012 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art Including Orientalist Art, which included the work A plough team returning home, beside the Morin river by Alexandre-Louis Jacob. The auction ended at the price of GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,491.91), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexandre-Louis Jacob achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work L'hiver, les glaçons in June 2018 with an auction result of EUR 31,250.00.

Im Mai 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art Including Orientalist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A plough team returning home, beside the Morin river von Alexandre-Louis Jacob zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 2.000,00 (€ 2.491,91) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alexandre-Louis Jacob erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit L'hiver, les glaçons im Juni 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 31.250,00.
