Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2005 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Pictures, which included the work On The Flood Plain At Dusk by Alexandre Jacob. The price achieved of GBP 1,560.00 (€ 2,271.98) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alexandre Jacob - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Wintertag an der Seine bei Asnières, which sold at auction in May 2013 for EUR 7,740.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit On The Flood Plain At Dusk von Alexandre Jacob zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.560,00 (€ 2.271,98) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Alexandre Jacob mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Wintertag an der Seine bei Asnières beobachtet, die im Mai 2013 für EUR 7.740,00 versteigert wurde.
