This artwork by Alexandre Iacovleff achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in June 2018. In the Russian Art auction, the work A dancer in Spanish costume sold for GBP 1,112,750.00 (€ 1,257,597.14) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 600,000.00. This high result makes A dancer in Spanish costume the most expensive artwork by Alexandre Iacovleff that we have observed at auctions so far.
