In June 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work Italian Landscape With A Village At The A Foot Of Mountain Range by Alexandre Hyacinthe Dunouy. The auction ended at the price of USD 50,000.00 (€ 31,750.06), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Other works by Alexandre Hyacinthe Dunouy have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2005 the work Capriccio View of Rome with the Monte de Giustizia and Villa Montalto Negroni was auctioned for USD 60,000.00 (€ 46,443.22).
