Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Still Life With A Monkey And A Basket Of Fruit Resting On A Ledge With A Landscape Beyond by Alexandre-François Desportes was sold in the Master Paintings & Sculpture Evening Sale auction at Sothebys in New York in January 2017. The price achieved of USD 100,000.00 (€ 92,644.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alexandre-François Desportes - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Chien Devant Un Trophée De Chasse, which sold at auction in March 2015 for EUR 339,000.00.

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 100.000,00 (€ 92.644,06) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden.
