In December 2010 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings Evening Sale, which included the work Still Life Of Plums In A Blue And White Porcelain Bowl Together With Peaches,A Partridge And A Woodcock And A Hanging Mallard, All On A Stone Ledge With A Red And Gold Brocade Hanging To The Left by Alexandre-François Desportes. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 265,250.00 (€ 307,689.20), 66% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Alexandre-François Desportes; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Chien Devant Un Trophée De Chasse sold at auction in March 2015 with the realized price of EUR 339,000.00.

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 265.250,00 (€ 307.689,20) und damit 66% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Alexandre-François Desportes; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Chien Devant Un Trophée De Chasse im März 2015 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 339.000,00.
