The »bidding war« ended at GBP 7,650.00 (€ 8,986.78), 70% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Alexandre Fasini; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Nature Morte À La Pipe Et Au Journal - 1926 sold at auction in November 2017 with the realized price of EUR 16,900.00.
