Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Irreplaceable 45 x 22 1/2 x 18 1/2 in. (114.3 x 57.2 x 47.0 cm) by Alexandra Nechita was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Art | Bonhams Skinner auction at Bonhams in March this year. The price achieved of USD 2,805.00 (€ 2,580.02) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 4,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alexandra Nechita - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sky Diver II 60 x 36 in. (152.4 x 91.4 cm) framed 67 1/2 x 43 1/2 x 3 3/4 in., which sold at auction in March this year for USD 10,200.00 (€ 9,381.90).
