Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Vladimir Mayakovsky, 1924 by Alexander Rodchenko was auctioned at Christies in New York in April 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,125.00 (€ 6,753.95) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexander Rodchenko achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Construction No.95 in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 3,646,250.00 (€ 4,302,216.51).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Vladimir Mayakovsky, 1924 von Alexander Rodchenko kam im April 2021 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 8.125,00 (€ 6.753,95) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alexander Rodchenko erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Construction No.95 im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.646.250,00 (€ 4.302.216,51).
