The work An Oriental horseman holding a standard by Alexander Orlovsky was sold in the Old Master and 19th Century Drawings auction at Christies in London in July 2003. It achieved a price of GBP 3,824.00 (€ 4,998.23), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 27%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexander Orlovsky achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Battle between the Georgians and the mountain tribes in November 2011 with an auction result of GBP 58,850.00 (€ 68,701.35).
