The price achieved of GBP 9,375.00 (€ 11,549.05) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Alexander Orlovsky have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Battle between the Georgians and the mountain tribes in November 2011 with an auction result of GBP 58,850.00 (€ 68,701.35).
