In the Russian Art auction, the work A veteran of the Imperial Russian army sold for GBP 16,250.00 (€ 18,970.21) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 9,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alexander Orlovsky - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Battle between the Georgians and the mountain tribes, which sold at auction in November 2011 for GBP 58,850.00 (€ 68,701.35).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 81 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Alexander Orlovsky erzielte im November 2011 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Russian Art wurde die Arbeit A veteran of the Imperial Russian army für GBP 16.250,00 (€ 18.970,21) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 9.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Alexander Orlovsky mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Battle between the Georgians and the mountain tribes beobachtet, die im November 2011 für GBP 58.850,00 (€ 68.701,35) versteigert wurde.
