Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2008 Christies in London held the auction Scottish ArtThe Assembly Rooms, Edinburgh, which included the work On the Somme, Flood Tide by Alexander Jamieson. It changed hands for a price of GBP 3,250.00 (€ 4,142.58) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Admittedly, works by Alexander Jamieson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dieppe in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 22,123.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Scottish ArtThe Assembly Rooms, Edinburgh durch, in der auch die Arbeit On the Somme, Flood Tide von Alexander Jamieson zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 3.250,00 (€ 4.142,58) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alexander Jamieson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Dieppe im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 22.123,16).
