In May 2011 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Masters and 19th Century Art, which included the work The letter by Alexander Hugo Bakker Korff. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 5,250.00 50% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Alexander Hugo Bakker Korff have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The letter of recommendation in October 2001 with an auction result of USD 21,150.00 (€ 23,518.29).

Im Mai 2011 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Masters and 19th Century Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The letter von Alexander Hugo Bakker Korff zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 5.250,00 und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alexander Hugo Bakker Korff auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The letter of recommendation im Oktober 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 21.150,00 (€ 23.518,29).
