Auction result well in line with expectations
The work On the Yevon(?), Breconshire by Alexander Fuller Maitland was auctioned at Christies in London in February 2003. The price achieved of GBP 129.25 (€ 188.70) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25.00 – 200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alexander Fuller Maitland - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A line of windmills on the coast, which sold at auction in August 2002 for GBP 411.25 (€ 649.04).

Die Arbeit On the Yevon(?), Breconshire von Alexander Fuller Maitland kam im Februar 2003 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 129,25 (€ 188,70) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 25,00 – 200,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Alexander Fuller Maitland mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A line of windmills on the coast beobachtet, die im August 2002 für GBP 411,25 (€ 649,04) versteigert wurde.
