Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The lobster seller by Alexander Fraser Jnr was sold in the British and European Art auction at Bonhams in London in March 2021. The price achieved of GBP 956.25 (€ 1,123.35) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexander Fraser Jnr achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Barnclueth in August 2007 with an auction result of GBP 14,400.00 (€ 21,287.00).

Die Arbeit The lobster seller von Alexander Fraser Jnr wurde im März 2021 in der Auktion British and European Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 956,25 (€ 1.123,35) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alexander Fraser Jnr erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Barnclueth im August 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 14.400,00 (€ 21.287,00).
