Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Original Cabin Plus Suitcase with “LA" and "Art" Sticker Sets by Alex Israel was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in July 2020. It changed hands for a price of HKD 32,500.00 (€ 3,560.81) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 24,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alex Israel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sky Backdrop in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 1,025,000.00 (€ 751,466.28).

Die Arbeit Original Cabin Plus Suitcase with “LA" and "Art" Sticker Sets von Alex Israel kam im Juli 2020 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 32.500,00 (€ 3.560,81) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 24.000,00 – 35.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alex Israel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sky Backdrop im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.025.000,00 (€ 751.466,28).
