The »bidding war« ended at GBP 13,750.00 (€ 15,515.25), 72% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Il Padovanino - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Venere, which sold at auction in December 2004 for EUR 38,440.00.

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 13.750,00 (€ 15.515,25) und damit 72% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Il Padovanino mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Venere beobachtet, die im Dezember 2004 für EUR 38.440,00 versteigert wurde.
