Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 9,375.00 (€ 10,444.58) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Il Padovanino - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Venere, which sold at auction in December 2004 for EUR 38,440.00.
