Here, the upper estimate of USD 1,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 1,057.50 (€ 1,250.74). Admittedly, works by Alessandro Sanquirico have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Coronation of Emperor Ferdinand I as King of Lombardy-Venetia, in the Duomo in Milan, 1 September 1838 in July 2012 with an auction result of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 10,349.07).

Die Arbeit The courtyard of a castle: Design for the stage von Alessandro Sanquirico kam im Mai 2001 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 1.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 1.057,50 (€ 1.250,74) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alessandro Sanquirico auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Coronation of Emperor Ferdinand I as King of Lombardy-Venetia, in the Duomo in Milan, 1 September 1838 im Juli 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 10.349,07).
