A top price for Moretto da Brescia - as previously expected
In January 2010 Sothebys in New York held the auction Important Old Master Paintings and Sculpture, which included the work Madonna And Child With A Dog by Moretto da Brescia. The price achieved of USD 350,500.00 (€ 252,703.68) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 300,000.00 – 400,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Madonna And Child With A Dog is the most expensive artwork by Moretto da Brescia that we have observed at auctions so far.
