Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2004 Christies in London held the auction 20TH CENTURY BRITISH & IRISH ART, which included the work A Collection Of Photographs, Including Some Of The Garden And Interior Of Charleston And Of The Decorations And The Church At Berwick by Alen MacWeeney. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,015.75 (€ 1,461.15) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Alen MacWeeney have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2013 the work Amish Farm Boy, Penn., 1962 was auctioned for EUR 1,750.00.

Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.015,75 (€ 1.461,15) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
