Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Going Into A Woman, From Photo Anecdotes Series. by Aleksandras Macijauskas was auctioned at Sothebys in London in June 2013, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,209.74). Other works by Aleksandras Macijauskas have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in June 2013 by the work Two Works From Lithuanian Village Markets Series; Untitled, From Veterinary Clinics Series at GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,668.72).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Going Into A Woman, From Photo Anecdotes Series. von Aleksandras Macijauskas im Juni 2013 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.209,74) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Aleksandras Macijauskas wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Juni 2013 die Arbeit Two Works From Lithuanian Village Markets Series; Untitled, From Veterinary Clinics Series mit GBP 4.000,00 (€ 4.668,72).
