Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Two Jews quarrelling by Alexander Orlovsky was auctioned at Christies in New York in October 2003. The price achieved of USD 4,182.50 (€ 3,602.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexander Orlovsky achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Battle between the Georgians and the mountain tribes in November 2011 with an auction result of GBP 58,850.00 (€ 68,701.35).
