A top price for Alecos Fassianos - as previously expected
The work Greek the Return by Alecos Fassianos was sold in the European Paintings auction at Sothebys in London in November 2011. The price achieved of GBP 169,250.00 (€ 197,582.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Greek the Return is the most expensive artwork by Alecos Fassianos that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Greek the Return von Alecos Fassianos wurde im November 2011 in der Auktion European Paintings bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 169.250,00 (€ 197.582,04) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 150.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Greek the Return das teuerste Kunstwerk von Alecos Fassianos, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
