Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2020 Bonhams in London held the auction The Greek Sale, which included the work Picture III by Alecos Condopoulos. It changed hands for a price of GBP 7,650.00 (€ 8,539.98) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Alecos Condopoulos have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Masque de cire in November 2021 with an auction result of EUR 40,312.50.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2020 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion The Greek Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Picture III von Alecos Condopoulos zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 7.650,00 (€ 8.539,98) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alecos Condopoulos auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Masque de cire im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 40.312,50.
