Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fishing Craft by Aldro Thompson Hibbard was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in May 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 6,375.00 (€ 5,227.98) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Aldro Thompson Hibbard have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Country Store, Rawsonville in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 37,600.00 (€ 44,308.27).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Fishing Craft von Aldro Thompson Hibbard kam im Mai 2021 bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 6.375,00 (€ 5.227,98) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Aldro Thompson Hibbard auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Country Store, Rawsonville im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 37.600,00 (€ 44.308,27).
