Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 198 ingots by Aldo Chaparro was sold in the Latin America auction at Phillips in New York in May 2016. The price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 11,225.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Aldo Chaparro - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Acero, which sold at auction in November 2014 for USD 37,500.00 (€ 30,149.54).

Die Arbeit 198 ingots von Aldo Chaparro wurde im Mai 2016 in der Auktion Latin America bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 11.225,86) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Aldo Chaparro mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Acero beobachtet, die im November 2014 für USD 37.500,00 (€ 30.149,54) versteigert wurde.
