Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Albertus Jonas Brandt achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in May 2015. In the The I.Q. van Regteren Altena Collection Part IV auction, the work Studies of Canna Indica; and the blooms of two other flowers (pl. 16) sold for EUR 3,500.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 1,200.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Albertus Jonas Brandt; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot A plover, a longbill and a mistle-thrush hanging from a nail, with a red butterfly sold at auction in November 2012 with the realized price of EUR 5,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Albertus Jonas Brandt erzielte im Mai 2015 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The I.Q. van Regteren Altena Collection Part IV wurde die Arbeit Studies of Canna Indica; and the blooms of two other flowers (pl. 16) für EUR 3.500,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 1.200,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Albertus Jonas Brandt; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit A plover, a longbill and a mistle-thrush hanging from a nail, with a red butterfly im November 2012 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 5.000,00.
