Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Vargas Girl--"What I asked you was how I liked my asp" by Alberto Vargas was sold in the PLAYBOY AT 50 auction at Christies in New York in December 2003. Here, the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 33,460.00 (€ 26,561.88). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alberto Vargas - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Vargas Girl--"Trick or treat?", which sold at auction in December 2003 for USD 71,700.00 (€ 56,918.31).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Vargas Girl--"What I asked you was how I liked my asp" von Alberto Vargas wurde im Dezember 2003 in der Auktion PLAYBOY AT 50 bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 33.460,00 (€ 26.561,88) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Alberto Vargas mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Vargas Girl--"Trick or treat?" beobachtet, die im Dezember 2003 für USD 71.700,00 (€ 56.918,31) versteigert wurde.
